Director Continuous Improvement
Location: Lawrenceburg, Indiana

The Director will lead the organization in Continuous Improvement strategy activities and training, be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, leading, coaching, and training others in continuous improvement activities and principles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises 2 to 15 associates within the Operations Department in accordance with Corporate policies.

Partner with management in the development and execution of continuous improvement strategy and business plans to attain the organizations objectives.

Coordinate CI activities with management team to ensure organization alignment with policy deployment objectives.

Coach and train management in the daily use and implementation of lean principles including training of ACT classes.

Manage associates utilizing Human Resource processes including quarterly and annual performance reviews, development plans, top grading, interviewing, hiring, planning, directing work, appraising performance, disciplining associates, addressing complaints, and resolving problem.

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrated Continuous Improvement / Lean experience (understanding of 5S, CI, SMED, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Std. Work, 3P, Poke Yoke)
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and teams with all levels of the organization
• Analytical, problem solver with the ability to make decisions in a timely manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Passion for CI and ability to teach, mentor and coach
• Excellent leadership and facilitation skills
• Six Sigma experience or certification, Lean Certification, TPS, Kaizen a plus
• Knowledge of internet software, manufacturing software, Excel, and Microsoft Word
• Capability to travel 30-50% of the time
