Job Title: Manager, Operations Excellence - Black Belt Program (Lean Implementation Leader)
Location: El Paso, Texas TX
Job Description:
- Demonstrates significant experience in applying contemporary improvement tools and producing results for a function and/or business unit
- Is fully certified as a Lean Leader and/or Black Belt
- Assesses current business performance for a specific site and/or function
- Works with multiple teams of business practitioners to synthesize findings and develop improvement recommendations
- Contributes to the development of action plans and executes against them
- Supports project assignments in the customer and/or supplier environment
- Trains Kaizan Leaders and Green Belts
- Assists with Black Belt training
- Coaches and mentors Kaizan Leaders and Green Belts throughout a defined development period
Responsibilities for this role -
- The Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement process will utilize both Lean and Six Sigma tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizens, DMAIC, DFLSS, 5S, Standard work principles, Jidoka, and Heijunka to effectively reduce process cycle-time, improve manufacturing and transactional first time quality, drive productivity, reduce inventory, improve Customer Satisfaction (as measured by the Customer Loyalty Index), and create compliance.
- Strong experience implementing Lean thinking in manufacturing and transactional business processes using Value Stream Mapping, Cellular Production, Kanban Systems, Poke-Yoke and other Lean Enterprise tools.
- Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertise.
- Proven leadership, project management, problem-solving and team development skills
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is required;
- Advanced degree preferred;
- 6-8+ years applied experience in various roles as a Lean Practitioner;
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, Quality Control and Documentation desired.
