Job Title: Six Sigma Black Belt in Mid-Atlantic Region

Location: Mid-Atlantic, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Our customer is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm and suppression, security, and communications systems. Their continued success and growth has produced a need for a Six Sigma Black Belt for the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Black Belt projects as assigned, with limited levels of Master Black Belt direction and support by leading teams in the application of Lean and Six Sigma tools to solve business problems and develop increased competency using the Black Belt toolkit
  • Provide project, methodology, and tool support to a full complement of Green Belts for implementation of projects in their district office or corporate department.
  • Facilitate meetings with management to review and examine project progress.
  • Provide training to employees in new business processes and tools with limited assistance.
  • Pass on new strategies and tools in the form of training and project work.
  • Find application opportunities for Six Sigma and Lean breakthrough strategy and tools, both internally and externally (e.g. to suppliers and customers)
  • Serve as a change agent promoting the use of Lean Six Sigma methodology.
  • Develop strong working relationships with management at all levels.
  • Develop and assist in the delivery and training of replication project packages.
Job Requirements:
  • Successfully completed all phases and achieve savings targets DMAIC projects, across a broad area of business disciplines (transactional processes).
  • Developed and assisted in the training and delivery of one leverage package.
  • Co-facilitated Lean training simulation exercises led Kaizen events. Illustrated practical project application of Lean principles to improve one process.
  • Mentored certification eligible Green Belt projects to completion in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor Green Belts.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach Green Belt training materials
  • Demonstrated technical and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience with DFFSS Preferred but not required
