Job Title: Operations Excellence Manager

Location: Shenandoah, Idaho

Job Description:

The Operational Excellence Manager provides overall
leadership for Quality, Lean/Six Sigma, and Engineering within the Shenandoah facility.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Deploying the quality plan at the operational level in conjunction with the Division Operational Excellence group to provide overall quality leadership to the site.

2. Developing short and long range strategic business plans for the Shenandoah site to align our resources to meet future customer needs and drive superior operating results.

3. Transforming the organization from one focused on conventional detection and containment to one focused on best-in-class prevention.

4. Guiding, directing, maintaining and monitoring all activities associated with the successful application of Eaton Business Excellence

5. Provide support in Total Quality Leadership to customers, suppliers, business partners, and the other support service functions such as materials, Engineering, Information Technology, and other Division resources.

6. Managing the Quality and Lean Six Sigma strategy to facilitate continuous production of products consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements.

7. Implementing systems and processes that deliver improvement toward 100% conformance to customer requirements.

8. Driving rigorous metrics related to the BSC to evaluate performance and drive reduction in variability/defects in critical business processes.

9. Developing systems for managing supplier performance. Providing Quality interface, expertise and support to the organization’s suppliers and partners.

10. Building relationships with other Division and Corporate resources in order to support identification, review, prioritization and execution of key improvements opportunities/ projects to drive results.


Job Requirements:

Bachelors in Business, engineering or other technical discipline. 5-7 years of experience including prior leadership experience.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Quality systems, including TS16949 and Six Sigma.

Broad technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, quality, plant engineering, production/materials planning and systems application.

Broad financial knowledge for asset management, budgeting and profit plan obtainment.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate, coach, and constructively deal with people at all levels.

Six Sigma Black Belt certification would also be beneficial.
