The initial role would be to lead, coach and execute multiple functional or cross functional Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects, and provide technical expertise in the area of LSS project execution to drive results consistent with PG&E LSS and Business Process Excellence Standards.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and train groups of professionals to a "Greenbelt" level.
• Help prioritize, select and charter high-impact projects; maintaining the integrity of the Lean Six Sigma measurements, improvements and tollgates; and develop, maintain and revise Lean Six Sigma training materials for consumption with the area of responsibility.
• Participate and Lead LSS workouts that deliver quick results to the organization.
• Support business and functions by managing project development and selection, metrics identification and maintaining project database and reporting systems.
• Act as a change agent to lead and mentor employees in quality tools and drive Process Ownership mind set through out the organization.

Required

• Undergraduate Degree
• 6-10 plus years of work experience, with proven success, executing lean six sigma and process management improvement projects
• At least 2-6 years in the Black Belt role and be able to move to a Master Black Belt level after completing training
• Consistent with PG&E LSS standards, all selected candidates will need to pass the PG&E Black Belt Certification Exam within the first 120 days of taking the position, even if they were previously certified
• Proven managerial and leadership ability to effectively direct team efforts and to be successful in a matrix organization.
• Demonstrated financial bottom-line orientation, excellent analytical skills and solid business acumen with track record for setting appropriate strategy.
• Change leadership skills

Desired

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified preferred, but not needed. Project management - core competency needed.
• MBA
